Are you spending too much time on your phone managing your business?

Are you feeling unproductive? Are you easily distracted by your phone during work hours? Are you spending way too much time on your phone managing your business? Do you need some suggestions to get your online profiles organized so you can concentrate on running your business? 

Here are some top tips to consider for better time management, higher productivity, reduced stress levels and a better work life balance:
  1. Plan ahead! - Create a plan of how you are going to manage your time and stick to it.  Use online diaries like google calendar to help you stick to this new plan as best as possible.
  2. Create a social media marketing plan that you can repeat (choose days, times and content to post)
  3. Set a time to schedule your social media posts (this should take around 1 hour a week) refer to your social media marketing plan to make your life easier and use apps available to make your life easier, eg. facebook creator, hootsuite, planoly etc.  This will save you making time to post your content every single day and you can relax knowing that your posts will automatically appear as you have pre-planned!  
  4. Reply to social media messages during work hours This one is tricky as I know people worry they will miss out on business if they don't reply to a message instantly.  It is important however so you can separate home time from work time.  By establishing clear boundaries and ensuring that you have automatic replies set up on your facebook chat box/messenger, you can assure your clients that you will get back to them as soon as you are in the office.
  5. Organize a time to browse and comment on other socials as your business.  Arrange at least 20 minutes a day to, like, comment and browse social media for business to help increase your reach and show a consistently active profile. Remember to use this time to respond and like any comments on your own posts on each social account and invite new account interactions to like your page.
