I recently changed my personal Facebook Profile over to the new Timeline feature, and while I love the appearance of this new format, I decided to check on my Privacy settings. I have always have custom settings for my personal privacy, and while checking on this, I discovered that some previous posts that I had made back in 2007 & 2008 were now viewable to anyone who happenned to click on my profile. After going through and deleting these posts, I discovered this new option which eliminates making these changes individually.

It's one thing that has been missed by many people. Lots of people who had privacy settings in place before are still oblivious to the fact their profiles are now public. A bit scary, really.

Hi Kellie, You are so right re the privacy changes! A lot of the ways to hide your information are very hidden! I have more posts to come on this topic to help others with their privacy settings. It is a bit of a worry, when most thought their information was private, prior to the change to personal timeline that is! Thanks for posting.

Just more stuff to learn from Facebook! I swear I have spent more time this year learning about FB than anything else - and then they go and change it again!

I know, they like to keep us on our toes! There are always constant changes. In the last year there has been some major changes for Pages, and i'm sure there will be more to come!

Great post! Thanks for that info - I love the new timeline but didn't realise that about old posts.
